Dying for Halloween Candy?

Palm oil production kills orangutans and other wildlife. Don’t haunt their Halloween!

Orangutans are killed to make Halloween candy! Palm oil, used in most popular candy, is produced by destroying the rainforest where orangutans, Sumatran tigers, and rhinoceros live. This spooky approach to oil production is not necessary! If we don’t stop destroying the rainforest in Borneo and Sumatra, we will be haunted by the ghosts of extinct orangutans. Take action now by signing a petition with the Rainforest Action Network. We can find other ways to make candy. We can’t find different ways of making orangutans!

Expansion of palm oil plantations in Borneo and Sumatra rain forests threatens to create ghost orangutans! But it’s not too late! See ways you could help though the Orangutan Conservancy you will be taking the next step in helping those primates.

Approximately 12,000 orangutans remain in the wilds of Borneo and Sumatra. We don’t want all 12,000 orangutans haunting our Halloween! Learn more by watching the vanishing orangutan video.
